But the early mornings aren’t the only crispy things around right now, because our newest IPA Mix Packs have also arrived. If you’re looking to embrace some serious seasonal crispiness, we’ve got you right here. CALIFORNIA IPA
Another seasonal number from our talented brew crew that we can’t wait to crack into, show off to friends, and enjoy: California IPA.
The Firestone Walker California IPA is our latest iteration of West Coast IPA and represents the current state of IPA in the Golden State. A light pale malt base lets the hops take center stage, showcasing the expressive fruity and dank aromatics of Mosaic, Strata, and Citra hops. Citra Incognito hop extract from Haas is a flowable whirlpool extract that adds more Citra impact in the brewhouse. All these layers come together to make a flavorful IPA with huge aromatic notes of mango, blueberry, and clementine.
If we could bottle or can up some fresh water from the base of Yosemite Falls and add in some brewing magic using good, old-fashioned Central Coast intuition for the ultimate California beer, it’d taste just like this.

UNION JACK
Union Jack is a Firestone Walker classic for a reason. Well, a lot of reasons actually. If you like your IPAs loud though, then our original West Coast IPA is worth tuning into.
Union Jack is the IPA that helped blaze the trail for the revolutionary West Coast style. Named for the British Lion who co-founded our brewery, Union Jack is hopped to high hell yet eminently balanced from start to finish. This is a fad-proof IPA for any hophead. Pronounced pineapple, citrus, and pine aromas with intense flavors of grapefruit and tangerine, all balanced by a hint of malt sweetness.
We keep it in our regular rotation for good reason.
HOPNOSIS
Is it a West Coast IPA? Is it a Cold IPA? Or is it all of the above? When cracking open a Hopnosis, the answer is always, “Yes.” An innovative IPA brewed with coveted Cryo Hops® pellets, we double dry-hop this beer with varieties from the U.S. and New Zealand, creating an explosion of tropical fruit flavors including mango, passionfruit, white grape, and lychee.

A Firestone Walker trailblazer that continues to break the rules, Luponic Distortion is brewed with a secret blend of new-age hops. So, sorry, but you won’t get much of a hop breakdown here. That’s the whole purpose of the secret thing. But if we were going to slip you a top-security clearance document with a big, red “CONFIDENTIAL” stamp on the front, it would hold a piece of paper that would just say, “This is a really good beer.”
We honored the original recipe that you know and love here, but tuned it up with mind-bending flavors of lychee, peach, nectarine, and strawberry. And like Union Jack, Hopnosis, and California IPA alongside it, you’ll want to crack into Luponic Distortion again and again and again, and maybe even one more time after that.
