It’s a simple question with a kind of impossible answer: Can you bottle a place?
That’s exactly what we set out to do when we partnered with Visit SLO CAL to create SLO CAL Pale Ale — a 5% ABV pale ale brewed from the landscapes, people, and culture of California’s Central Coast. The result is something that tastes like where we live: bright, balanced, and hard to find anywhere else. Literally. You can only get it at our Paso Robles taproom, and quantities are limited.
We’ve called Paso Robles home since 2001, drawing inspiration from the place where coast, countryside, and community intersect. This beer is our most direct love letter to that place yet — and the story behind it is worth knowing.
Tapped Into SLO CAL
Visit SLO CAL documented the whole thing. Tapped Into SLO CAL is a five-part series following our brewmaster Matt Brynildson through the people, landscapes, and creative spirit that define this corner of California. Matt is one of the most respected brewmasters in American craft beer, and for him, brewing has always been storytelling. In this series, he steps beyond the brewhouse entirely — drawing inspiration directly from the Central Coast to create something that reflects not just how SLO CAL tastes, but how it feels.
It’s worth watching even if you’ve already got a can in your hand.
SLO CAL Pale Ale is available exclusively at our Paso Robles taproom while supplies last.
